What is your confidentiality policy?
At InMind Behavioral Health, your privacy is our top priority. Information shared in any therapy session is strictly confidential. The privacy of information exchanged with your therapist in the course of diagnosis and treatment is protected by law. Your consent must be obtained before discussing any information with outside providers or family members. The law also requires your therapist to break confidentiality with or without your permission if you or someone else is at risk of serious harm. The policy regarding confidentiality and HIPPA compliance is also included in the initial intake paperwork and can be discussed with your therapist.
What is your cancelation policy?
We understand that circumstances come up from time to time that require you to cancel or reschedule a visit. We will work with you to find alternative times and options for scheduled sessions that you are unable to attend. We request that you give us at least a 24 hours’ notice prior to the appointment, so that the time may be allotted for another patient. If such notice is not given, it is our general policy to charge the usual fee for the missed session.
How do I pick the right therapist for me?
If you are looking for a doctor that can prescribe medications, then you need a psychiatrist. InMind Behavioral Health does not currently have a psychiatrist on staff in our office, but we offer telehealth which connects you to psychiatrist in an office setting. However, if you feel that talking with a counselor could help you with a wide variety of issues (i.e. behavioral modification, addictions, stress, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, parenting, and many more), then we are here and ready to help. Please give our office a call and we will discuss your needs and find a fit that is right for you.
